At our origin, we are all seeds. Our existence grows as above, so below. Our roots dig deep in search of maintaining a bond with the soil, while our stems emerge to the surface in search of the sun. Both life experiences make us part of the whole.
With this in mind we illustrated the song "Seeds" by Atsuko Chiba.
In collaboration with Jade Maya, artist and contemporary dancer, we captured the emotional embodiment of the musical piece in film. Her dance performance across a natural environment and a brutalist architectural space is inspired by the Hermetic Principle of Correspondence, "there is a harmony, agreement, and correspondence between the several planes of Manifestation, Life and Being."—Three Initiates, The Kybalion.
